Biography

Born in Kent, England in 1975, Samantha Harvey has completed postgraduate courses in philosophy and in Creative Writing.

Her first novel, The Wilderness, was shortlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction 2009, longlisted for the 2009 Man Booker Prize, shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and won the 2009 AMI Literature Award and the Betty Trask Prize. She was recently named by The Culture Show as one of the 12 Best New British Novelists.

Her new novel, All Is Song, is published on 5th January 2012 by Jonathan Cape.
